Latest news about our surveys

Our work continues despite the 14 November 2016 earthquake

The 14 November earthquake disrupted the way we do things. You may have seen reports in the media about our head office in Wellington, Statistics House, being closed. We can assure you that our work continues regardless of  any office closures. We continue to collect information from individuals, households and businesses using a survey questionnaire.

It is important that we collect this vital information from you so that New Zealand will grow and prosper. If you’ve been asked to take part in one of our surveys, please contact us if you:

  • need help completing a survey
  • can’t find the information you need
  • need to change the date and/or time of your appointment with an interviewer
  • have any issues with participating in a survey.
