In May 2015 compared with April 2015:  

  • Food prices rose 0.4 percent.
  • Fruit and vegetable prices rose 0.3 percent.
  • Meat, poultry, and fish prices rose 1.0 percent.
  • Grocery food prices rose 0.1 percent.
  • Non-alcoholic beverage prices rose 0.9 percent.
  • Restaurant meals and ready-to-eat food prices rose 0.3 percent.
Annual change

From May 2014 to May 2015:

  • Food prices increased 0.8 percent.
  • Fruit and vegetable prices decreased 1.1 percent.
  • Meat, poultry, and fish prices increased 4.6 percent.
  • Grocery food prices decreased 1.3 percent.
  • Non-alcoholic beverage prices increased 2.4 percent.
  • Restaurant meals and ready-to-eat food prices increased 1.8 percent.
