Electronic Card Transactions: February 2013

Key facts

Changes in the seasonally adjusted value of transactions (compared with January 2013) were:

  • Total electronic card transactions rose 0.8 percent.
  • Transactions in the retail industries rose 0.8 percent.
  • Transactions in the core retail industries rose 0.7 percent.
  • Durables and consumables had the largest increases.
  • Fuel had the largest decrease. 

The actual (unadjusted) value of transactions in the core retail series was up 1.5 percent from February 2012.
