Impact of Christchurch earthquake on Statistics New Zealand information releases  –  Media Release

The earthquake in Christchurch continues to affect some Statistics New Zealand information releases, as the building in the city centre where many of our statistical releases are prepared has been damaged.

We’re making key releases like Gross Domestic Product, Consumers Price Index, Balance of Payments, and Household Labour Force Survey our top priorities.

Below is the revised release schedule until 18 March 2011. Next week we will release a longer-term schedule so we can give more clarity to people who depend on the information.

Revised release schedule until 18 March 2011

  • Electronic Card Transactions: February 2011, due to be released on 9 March, will now be released on 10 March. There will be a media conference in Wellington from 10:00am ahead of the information being released at 10:45am.
