Our people, our place, our story, Tō tātou ao

Statistics New Zealand is holding free information seminars about your community in May and June 2014.

Find out about the 2013 Census – what's happening at a local and national level, what we know about our population and how it's changing, and how to access this information on our website.

What do you need to do to attend?

Complete the registration form to attend a seminar near you.

You will also find a list of dates, times, and venues for all of the locations we will be visiting.

What will we be talking about?

At our seminars we will:

  • provide a broad overview of the census
  • talk about interesting trends at a local and national level
  • let you know what information is available from the 2013 Census
  • present newly released data from Te Kupenga (at selected locations).

Find out how to:

  • navigate the census pages on our website
  • access information about your local area
  • explore and visualise statistics about your area with our StatsMaps tool
  • build tables using our NZ.Stat tool.

You can even bring your own device to work with us as we show you around our website.
